Network Infrastructure

Network design, installation, and ongoing management: structured cabling, business wireless, firewalls, segmentation, and remote access. Documented properly, so troubleshooting does not depend on whoever happened to install it.

What this covers

  • Structured cabling for new premises, and tidying up sites where the comms cabinet has become a mystery
  • Business wireless designed from a real site survey, so coverage matches the building rather than a floor plan
  • Firewalls and network segmentation, keeping guest traffic, staff devices, payment systems, and building equipment properly separated
  • Site-to-site VPN between offices, and secure remote access for people working from home or on the road
  • Monitoring and alerting that tells you a link is degrading before your staff start complaining about it
  • Documentation you own: diagrams, address plans, and configurations, handed over rather than kept in our heads

How we approach it

Every engagement starts with finding out what is really there. Sites almost always differ from their documentation, and a design based on the paperwork will be a design that does not fit the building.

Networks are built to deny by default. Devices reach the systems their role requires and nothing else, so a compromised laptop or an insecure smart device cannot wander into your finance systems. Administrative interfaces are never exposed to the internet, and default credentials are replaced before anything goes live.

Installation work is scheduled around your operating hours, with a tested rollback for every change. When we hand over, you get the diagrams, the address plan, and the configurations — everything a different engineer would need to work on it without calling us first.

Common questions

Can you work with the equipment we already have?

Wherever it is still fit for purpose, yes — replacing working hardware is a waste of your money. We will tell you which parts are worth keeping, which are near end of support, and which are creating a risk worth spending on now.

Will this disrupt our working day?

Changes that carry downtime are scheduled outside your hours and planned with a rollback ready. We will tell you in advance exactly what will be unavailable and for roughly how long, and we would rather over-estimate that window than under-estimate it.

Do you support the network afterwards?

If you want us to. Ongoing monitoring and support are available with agreed response times, and equally you can take the documentation and run it in-house. It is genuinely your choice either way.
